Rehabilitation is more than stopping drug or alcohol use. It is a process of healing the body and mind, rebuilding relationships and learning the skills needed to live without substances.
The New Life Rehab & Psychiatric Center supports individuals and families from Rawalpindi through every stage of that process. Our centre is on Main PWD Road, Islamabad, close to Rawalpindi.
The stages of rehabilitation
1. First contact and assessment
It starts with a conversation. Our team listens to your situation, answers questions and arranges an assessment of physical health, mental health and substance use.
2. Supervised detoxification
The body is helped through withdrawal safely and as comfortably as possible in our detoxification programme.
3. Therapy and counselling
Clients explore the causes of their addiction through one-to-one counselling, group therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and addiction education.
4. Healthy routines
Daily structure, fitness and wellness, yoga and music therapy help restore physical and emotional health.
5. Family support
Addiction affects the whole family. Family sessions help rebuild trust and prepare everyone for life after treatment.
6. Relapse prevention and aftercare
Before leaving, clients build a plan for handling cravings and triggers through our relapse prevention programme, with continued follow-up after discharge.
Residential or outpatient?
Residential rehabilitation suits people who need a safe, structured environment away from daily triggers. Our outpatient programme suits people who can stay at home while attending regular sessions. Our team will recommend the right option after assessment.
Addiction and mental health together
Many people with addiction also live with depression, anxiety or other mental health conditions. As a rehab and psychiatric center, we treat both together so that one does not undermine recovery from the other.
